Virgina Tech Shootings
by on Apr 19, 2007 08:59 PM

I was shocked as anyone else by this senseless killing. But, looking beyond the mental state of this kid, I would like to think back to my days as an undergraduate student at an elite US University. As a kid of Indian Origin, don't tell me that none of you felt the ignorance of your fellow students who as exactly stated by the killer didn't seem to get enough of their Mercedes, the Trust Fund, the expensive booze, the women they chased etc. Their ignorance ooozed out of their minds - and we are talking about the brightest the US had to offer? Tell me you guys from India who were mostly graduate students in these universities didn't even feel it? Or were you just glad to get out of India? Why doesn't anyone even look at this angle?
