Rahul Gandhi has yet again displayed that he is quite immature as a politician by inferring that his family played a major role in dividing a neighbouring country. Does he think that it was an achievement? ...and if so, why did we, under Mrs Gandhi, then take a different political stand then by declaring that we respect the sovereignity of other countries??
Rahul so far has not displayed any leadership qualities. He is definitely not a natural leader, he is not charismatic, he still cannot relate to the grassroot, he does not know the rural realities of the country, he seems to be unaware of changing global equations, he has not displayed any vision, he is aloof and now he is inflicted himself with the dangerous "foot in the mouth" disease too!!! This should worry Congress. If he is the chosen and selected (please not...not elected!)leader of the party, he should first apprise himself with the history, culture and background of his party, counrty and world realities in general before making these 'bold' and immature statements in public. It is highly immature and childish to publicly censure and criticise his own party's govt just for the sake of upping the stature of his family surname!!
His father, the most affable, progressive and charismatic Rajiv Gandhi had also spoken immaturely at times (pakistan ko naani yaad dila denge et al!!) but he was undeniably an astute statesman too. He commanded a certain status in the international diplomatic community and he was respected for his grasp on issues. He had a vision. This is what rahul lacks. He does not have (or does not display)any of the great qualities that his dad had but he makes the same mistakes that his dad used to make but with higher regularity!!
