It is an unnecessary statement, and could have been avoided. The other day he mentioned about the episode on Babri Masjid, and then the party had to explain/defend it.

If we look at it from the other side, one may well ask him, since his family has been ruling the country for most of the time, hence are responsibile for the poor state of affairs(read poverty, illiteracy, health care, corruption, criminals and politicians nexus, and so on) in the country! Similarly if he claims victory in the 1971 war, then immediately the question will arise why they have not solved the J&K and border issue once and for all at that time, and why did they leave Bangladesh as such, which is a headache for us since then?
Therefore he should come out of the family thinking, and treat himself as an individual. As such a majority of people hate great grandfather, grand mother, father, and then the son ruling tendency in this country. Rahul is an educated person, therefore he should think out of family ruling tendency, and project himself as individual who is keen to help the public and the country. If the public votes him to any Office, then let him try to do his best to the people and the country.
