Thorium as a nuclear fuel
by harifromchennai on Apr 13, 2007 05:31 PM

What happened to research on thorium as nuclear fuel? I gues India, must be riding on that factor and bargaining heavily. India had thorium reserves in vast and trying to make it as an alternative to uranium. And also, any dependency with US will always lead to black mail. It is a honey trap and if we fell, there will not independent view on any issue for India and all will be dictated by washington. India has to do business with equal-equal terms. If you don't outsource to India, you loose cost cutting and hence profit margin.
