Parkinson's
by Anupam Sharma on Apr 12, 2007 10:55 AM

I lost my father due to Parkinson's in 2005.It was a 5 year long loosing battle.Since it is a degenerative desiese & medical fraternity is still clueless even God cannot save you.We were showing him in AIIMS & later in VIMHANS tO the Head of Deptt & i have seen the helplessness & ignorence of our so called medical fraternity. In later years i was told it is probably Parkinson's plus where drugs also become ineffective. When allopathy fails dozons of alternate systems mushroom up & the beauty is that all make tall claims. However now after seeing it thru & experiencing it i firmly believe where modern medicine fails so do others but the only difference is allopathy accepts its limitations others start their course from there till the end.My father was a teetotalar, vegetarian & used to have only Daliya during lunch. He was also a fitness freak before onset of Parkinson's & used to look at least 10 yrs younger than his age.Untill age of 70 people refused to believe he was retired.Yes i do agree probably Parkinson may not happen to people who indulge into self gratifying & stimulating vices like smoking, drinking moderately & to people who socialise & party hard or people who can learn to remain happy always. However people with Parkinson's cannot remain happy & i am still cluless is it a cause or effect.
