Edwin does not seem to know any facts but just repeats things he has caught up somewhere along the way. Maybe that is why he would need reservation, cause logic and research are not his cup of tea.
To answer the question about reservation for Kashmiris (and it is not only for Brahmins!) it is an opportunity for them to study as they cannot study in their home state (which has no institutions left). The same goes for people in other disputed territories like Belgaum in Karnataka and so on.
