Unlike United States, where President is a top authority, in India's Parliamentary form of Govt. President has "Nil" power. He is actually reduced to a mere decorative puppet and has no say. He does what the ruling center Govt. wants to do. In fact his freedom or his independent speaking ability is taken away, once he becomes President. The example is in front of us, our current president "a man of science" and wisdom, his advises or requests were never heard by the Govt. So, my view is Mr. Murthy should not become President. We can hear him better without presidential post. Conclusion: A Good Man, cannot do or exercise his views when he becomes President (The Govt. does not let him do, through the provisions of constitution)
