Kalam wants Narayana Murthy as Prez
by kunuthur srinivas on Apr 15, 2007 08:05 AM

The title 'Kalam wants...' is misleading if not mischievous on the part of news media concerned. Dr APJ Abdul Kalam befitting his position, would never commit himself in favour of one individual to succeed him as the President of India. Even if he had stated, it would be purely his personal opinion. He is very well aware of democratic process that goes to make any body as the President of India. Let no body undermine the spirit of responses of our Scientist turned President of India. Finally, one should be fair to admit the fact: If Amitabh Bachan, the film actor is projected as the successor to Dr A P J Abdul Kalam, can the stature of Dr Narayanamurthy be underestimated to succeed to the Presidentship of India? How long the people of India be fooled by divisive political forces of the country?
