The forcible land acquisition of land whether cultivable or not should not be done. There are numerous flaws in this process like: 1)The development authority officials are corrupt to a very high degree. They trade in land in connivance with property Dalal.2) Compensation fixing process is not democratic but is totally authoritative devoid of any public representation. 3) Even en mass acquisition have elements of partiality and the politicians and corrupt dalals take anti advantage and save their entire land where as other poor farmers have to be contented with 5-6% of land that too after paying bribes.4) The farmers are being scape goat their interests are sacrificed for the sake of comforts of very few in the name of so - called development. 5) Let the industrialists contact directly with farmers and make alternative arrangement for using land such as make farmers their business partners and give them partnership in their ventures in lieu of land apart from justly decided compensation. Let the industrialists also break their head instead of putting farmers in tension. 6) The formula of 70:30 as proposed in the pending draft land acquisition bill is ridiculous and meant to favour industrialists. Once they can buy 70% of land for their projects, they can also buy remaining land on their own. Otherwise I, as a farmer, also want to cultivate on 100 acres of land but I have only 2-3 acres. Will the govt give me even 10% more to cultivate? if not then why to businessmen?
