If meritocracy is Manuvad, it will definitely succeed as it has, time and again. People who oppose should realise that they are mere hurdles that can possibly delay but can in no way stop progress. Hinduism is the only way of life in this world which does not impose restrictions on an individual's personal freedom. Over the ages, it has been enriched by Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism and also movements such as Bhakti and Sufism. Non-Indian religions regardless of the fervour with which they are practiced are not suited to Indian conditions and have been foisted upon their practitioners either by force or with the aid of money unfairly appropriated from peaceful peoples by colonising military forces. Let us also realise that Hinduim is a way of life, not a religion. It is all embracing. It is not mere baptism that makes a true Christian but an honest adherence to the 10 commandments. Are Hindus prohibited from adhering to the same commandments? No. Is there any Hindu scripture that prohibits wearin a cross? No. Does any Hindu scripture say that it is mandatory to worship Hindu dieties? No. Is there any Hindu scripture that says it is a sin not to read the Gita but read the Quran or Bible instead? No. So embracing a different religion does not necesarily take away one's hindusm. Again, worship of Hindu dieties is only a measure that is suggested when one has one's own requirements which he/she would like to fulfil. The idea is pray only when you have a need and it is not a sin if you do not pray at other times. God will not be angry with you if you remember him/her only to fulfil your personal requirements. Is there a religion gives you this freedom? No.
Everything that is unacceptable about Hinduism is the result of misinterpretations which should be overlooked/eliminated and not emphasised or practiced.
