Yeah. That is typical Indian. We never do anything with perfection. We always forget some crucial things and that spoils the entire endeavor.

Coming back to Shatabdi Express, those trains are designed to travel at a speed of 160 km/h. But we forgot, in typical Indian style, one very important thing. High speed trains also require tracks capable of sustaining that speed. Only few kilometers of railway tracks in India can support 160 km/h.

By the way the Shatabdi Express story goes back to the Rajiv era. He took the initiative to introduce that train. That time both the engines and the compartments were imported. Now we make both in India. That is only achievement in last two decades. Quality of tracks remain same, more or less.
