Julia, Leftists/socialists and specifically communists have never had any respect for private property. Respect for private property and titles is the foundation of a successful society. In fact the entire Western legal system is built on the foundation of respecting property ownership.
The only party which shows a minimal (not the high level as in the West - but good by Indian standards) respect for private property is BJP.
What we need in India is a Bill of rights just like in the US.
