I full accept and agree with you, The problem is since britsihers left india our politicians followed the goverining code of the britishers and unfortunatley they accepted the very bad part of it. That is Divide and rule. Now these politicians in the name of Nationalism and religion they are dividing these people.
The unfortunate part is that most of the Hindu's just get carried away with the anti- muslims remarks made by these politicians thus giving them the wrong information and blaming muslims for all the problems of their backwardness. All this is done is to gain power and make money for themselves. As i know myself mot of the Hindu's are not really aware about the Muslim religious practices which is mostly and more commonly mis-understood by the Hindu's.
As Islam says to respect all the religion and its faith it also says that "there is no compulsion in religion". There where times during the Prohpet (P.B.U.H) that he used to deal in business with the non muslims escpecially Jews.
It is our duty as muslims to convey the message of our Prohpet (P.B.U.H) to the non muslims. Escpeically the mis conceptions and wrong notions these non - muslims have about Islam and Muslim.
