Sez- lands and the hapless peasants & Nandigram
by D goel on Apr 01, 2007 06:55 PM

PKL. April 1, Sunday, 2007.
The pulling out of the dead Body of the child after almost a week and more from scorched fields of Nandigram emblemtically becomes the moniker of of dilemmas of transforming backyards of deep countryside and the giant steps to neo-capitalist globalization in the lands of farm-hands' marxists of West Bengal. They instead of encircling the Bestilles of Metropoltan Capital by Millions of starving poor are, now, bent to reverse their strategy of banishung subsistent farm-communities of their poor of their ill-developed cultivated fields to burgeoning seductions of foreign investments sans any assurance of better employment to "Locals".Very obviously this quick transition could produce bloodshed and lasting acrimony amongst Locals and the incoming Investors . Marxists seem paradoxically ,now, to Roll red-carpet to such invasive Capital, pleading that in 21st century there can be no other alternative.D. Goel
