it has to made compulsory..no matter wht.....take the example of TN, they don't care for the national lang also...forget abt english.......people come from all over India to karnataka to study schooling, medicine, engg, etc, etc, etc and they do not want to learn the language...cmc, vellore has made tamil a compulsory lang in its currculum....its high time we fight back...this is the first step in right direction.... guys are staying 10 to 15 yrs in blr and they don't know a word of kannada....it is really sad....I bet atleast 30 to 40 % of enggineers, specially the s/w engg around the globe will be products of KARNATAKA ENGG COLLEGES...stay & learn..or get the **** out !
