Should kids learn English?
by Hemantkumar on Sep 28, 2006 08:44 PM

I am from a rural village in Karnataka where there are no English medium schools. I started in Kannada Medium upto 10th std and then when I joined College (PUC Science), it was very much difficult for us to understand the words. Since, we had a very good teacher in High School, we could manage. But most of my friends failed and then changed to Arts though they had an intention to study Science. You can understand how language changes the life. Now I am in Ireland and I regret not studying in english. If this happens niether they can get jobs in India because of reservation nor out side India. Karnataka is the worst hit state in India by the politicians because of cool kannada people. They make rules for money. I am sure the CM wants money. If given more money, the schools will reopen. Who is he to say not to study English? They are all Goondas. The Law is also politicised in India and supports such things. Please, please media especially rediff, help us, help india and my brothers & sisters to servive.
