Mr Lavkare's article follows the speech of Mr Pranab Mukerjee. Is it a coincidence that Mr Pranab, a much older man sees a glowing future for India while, Mr Lavakare sees our country in a totally different light. There is a lot that is not right with our country today.Although, we claim to be a nation but somewhere along the way we seem to relegate the entire concept of nationhood to the dustbin, in our day to day labours. All our mainstream parties are intererstd in token nationalism and influencing gullible voters. In the din that passes for national conciousness governance is getting the go-by. One tends to feel a sense of let down by an uncaring government that does not go beyond platitudes.Democracy seems to have degenerated to the Mobocracy. The loss of faith in our nation to deliver is getting visible by the day. A day may not be far when the youth would lose complete faith and waste their energy in escapist activities and mindless violence. Anarchy would then become supreme.
