Pak puts off F-16 deal
by labrea on Sep 22, 2006 08:03 PM

What does he mean by 'purchasing' these aircrafts from the US? They are being given to Pak as economic-military aid. Anyways, it's all an eyewash, as Mush is presently in Washington with his shopping lists, threats and blackmail: "how can I go home empty-handed? As the only 'moderate' leader to be found anywhere in Pak, either we get more 'aid' or the 'fundamentalists' will take over and things will get worse. And how can I hand over BinLaden and his terrorists when I am perceived by my people as an Uncle Sam's poodle? That's why I need to get oodles of aid and freebies to keep them happy." It's an open secret that Pak has been giving away US hi-tech to China in return for nuclear and missile technology, so why would Uncle Sam provide them with the latest fighters - it would only end up helping to advance China's fighter program.
