The tiger's death in a national park is terrible. It is a wildlife sanctuary, and hence should be policed well to prevent poachers, but I believe that the forest department has an acute manpower and equipment shortage. Project tiger isnt the government's priority and hasnt been for a while now. Saving the tiger doesnt bring in votes.

As far as the elephant getting run over by a truck is concerned was an accident. There is nothing anybody could have done about that. One, animals should not be allowed to run amok on streets - it is a traffic hazard and could cause fatal accidents... what if this was a car/minivan instead of a truck and the elephant fell on it? There is a place for everything-wildlife belongs to the wilderness not the concrete jungle.

I see nobody is bothered about the truck driver - did he make it?
