All this is plain politics. Muslim and Sikh groups have both supported and opposed singing of the national song, something which has always been a matter of controversy. There are millions of Muslims and Sikhs around India who do not have a problem with singing the song. It has nothing to do with faith. All those proclaiming it to be anti-Muslim are again playing politics. They should be ignored downright. And those champions of nationalism, who are equating the singing of the song to being patriotic were themselves shown in poor light when asked to sing the song on TV. Just goes to show that their brand of patriotism is more about word than deed.
