Rule to be adopted in India also
by Vandana on Oct 19, 2006 10:26 AM

Sex offence should be treated a serious crime in India as well. At present, culprits remain wide and scotfree. They threaten and sometimes eliminate the victims of sex-abuse if they go against their threats. Many of the culprits are political leaders and have 'hold' in higher offices. Ministers also do the crime and they remain in office after they are caught. The American law is very good in this respect. A well known and powerful senator had to resign these days; he has no protection of any kind. He is treated as any other culprit. The law should be equal to all. The police should not protect the political villains.
