What did India do Right? - should be the question

I live in a beautiful apatrment complex. Right in front of which there is a garbage dump which is hardly ever cleaned by the muncipality.

I work in very hi-tech and well planned IT park employing over 20,000 people. Right in front of its Back gate is a open drain which stinks for half a mile. No government organisation seems to be bothered.

Then you as this question - What India did wrong?

Ironic or Pathetic - what is it?
