There is a basic difference between those who are against the death sentence as a matter of principle and those who want Afzal to be spared because they support the separation of Kashmir or terrorism. The Hurriyat leaders have lost all credibility and their reference to the peace talks is ridiculous. They never believed in Peace and their only aim is to support Pakistan and oppose India. The Hurriyat chief's appeal should be dismissed with the contempt it deserves.
