Well if Mr. Gujral did not like his seat location, that is fine. He did not do much to deserve becoming a PM. And after he did become one, there was not much he did either. So if someone has realised your current state in politics good for him. If you were of any consequence then you would have been given some respect at the onset. And a better seat. So now you know where you are. Unless ofcourse you went there in anticipation of the free food.
If there was a meeting of ex - prime minsters and Mr. Gujral got a bad seat, then yes, that woudl have been a big let down, but in the current world, Mr. Gujral is not that important. So be it. Maybe he should politely decline such invitations.
