Turn the tables
by photonman on Nov 17, 2006 10:07 PM

I am quite amused by the state of affairs that we find ourselves in. Tibet was an autonomous region until China forcefully annexed it. We continue to give asylum to the Tibetan government. China continues to supply arms to Pakistan, Bangladesh and the north-eastern terrorists.

Doesn't it look glaring that we don't do any of these:
1. Take up the Tibetan "cause" more vociferously in international fora.
2. Rake up human right violations
3. Foment trouble in Tibet - I am sure there are enough countries who want the same thing - US for starters...

At this point, the least one can do is to raise the Tibetan issue in the talks. That should cut the dragon's tail!
