Well it's true hindu culture has been preserved well in the south. The beutiful temples, and the temple arts like kathakali is respected here. Even non-hindus in souther india have adopted hindu rituals and traditions in their marriages, festivals. In Kerala churches conduct saraswathi pooja during navarathri , and their marriages are all plagiarized hindu marriages. In a way Hinduism is 'converting' other religions in the South and thereby keeping our traditions intact. Not many people are aware that modern day martial arts has its roots in the hindu Kalaraipayattu --which originated in south! vedic sciences like Ayurveda and Vaasthu are also respected more and it's gaining popularity among the youth. Thanks to rediff, it was a good break from pathetic JNU-journalism of communists like dilip dsouzas and praful bidwais. Vande maathram
