Indo-US relation after US mid term vote result
by Dr S Banerjee on Nov 08, 2006 05:44 PM

It must be realised by all in India more so by the media that US foreign policy is by and large based on national interest and not on party basis. No politician
in USA ingonres the importance of emerging economic and political strength of India. One must also have to
take in to account of the lame duck two year period where both the parties in US need to grow in strength
in geo politic to face the greater battle in 2008 election.Under this background India need not worry at
all and should negotiate from the point of strength.
It shall also be noted in India thet the Indian-Ameri-can group are second strongest to Jew group and have
plenty to add in US policy.Neither Democrat nor Republican can ignore this strength and that is fact of life in US politic.India has nothing to fear.
