Point well taken that the Honorable Supreme Court of India wants the rule of the law to be supreme. Also that Delhi has grown into a mess. BUT, the moot questio is : 1. Why the civic authorities allowed this in the first place? Simple reason - they all took bribes to close their eyes. 2. Why other law violators e.g. Anantram Dairy/Sainik Farms residents not being touched? Simple reason - many of the lawmakers/judges living in these unauthorised colonies. 3. Is the Court and the Government fully aware of this overnight action of extreme atrocity? Atleast 40-50 lac people will lose their means of livelihood. 4. To earn for one's livelihood is everybody's fundamental right. Then why this action to deprive people in general from earning their daily bread through legal means just because some legal technicalities of use/misuse of land is in question. Since the government could not fulfil its plans as given in the earlier master plans, why common man is being made to suffer????
All this smacks of a bigger conspiracy pointing to nexus between big lobbies (read MALLS) and those who are in seats of power.Is this the same democracy cherished by one and all??
