sealing drive in delhi
by kalyan raman on Nov 10, 2006 01:08 PM

It is unfortunate that some ministers are again talking of amending laws to give reprieve to the traders. All such proposed actions are politically motivated. We must learn to rise above political considerations and respect the directives of an institution such as the Supreme Court which has no political leanings.
The media would do well not to overpublicise traders' bandh calls etc. If at all, they can call for a national debate- they so often come up with 'question of the day', so on and so forth. Let us not forget that Delhi is not India and India is not Delhi. It is important that the media realises this first.
