Many here have commented that why cant we change the city name since the other states have done so. The politicians of the all states had the same agenda while doing so, and it was to shirk their responsibility of providing basic infrastructure to their region and engage the people in senseless debates and discussions over such matters. Also I find it stupid that crores of rupees will now be spent in changing the names on street boards, stationery and all other official documents. I think all of us should ask the govts. to provide us with the figures are spent on this name changing. I am sure some of you will be surprised that the same amount could be used for a new hospital/school/better roads/more hygiene.
