Bangalore or Bangalooru, does it make any difference? Will Bangalooru have better infrastructure, better traffic mangaement, lesser crime rate, better economic growth? Will Bangalooru be a better international brand than Bangalore? If the answer is in affirmation then let's go for it.But if this is just an opportunity to mint more money, promote regionalism, make Bangalooru more kannada than Indian, then let's re-think.Bangalore is on global map,can Bangalooru effectively swap that?Mumbai or Bombay,Patna or Patliputra whatever may be the name, the conditions remain the same...What's in the name!Bangalore needs better brand mangement, better infra, better traffic mangement, better police mangement. If Bangalooru can achieve it then we should have changed it much earlier.Let's think growth, think big, think brand, think better. If Bangalooru has in it what Bangalore did not have, rename it.But I think that there are other better things to take care than just rechristening the city.I think that this is a needless step which will shift the focus from more relevant issues.Do not just change the name, change the city as well...off course for GOOD.
