BENDAKALOORU
by SUDHIR JADE on Nov 01, 2006 04:32 PM

What's in a name. What ever you do now, Bendakalauru of Kempe gowda cannot come back. There were no traffic jams, there was no broad gauge train to delhi direct, there was no direct flights to overseas, jutka was a good mode of transport from bus stand to city market, it hardly used to take 15 minutes to leave city limits when going out. THAT WAS BANGALORE.

CAN ANY OF THIS BE BROUGHT BACK ? Bangalore is synonym with modern day metro. Bangalore is recognised world over. Chennai was renamed. Tiruvanathapuram was renamed. so u r also in Q.
Nothing original.
Emulate something for useful:
1.Reclaim waste lands 2. Make rain harvesting compulsory in new buildings 3. develop efficient garbage disposal system. 4. rehabilitate beggers
5. Provide alternate mechanism to avoid child labour.
List is endless-but requires hardwork, political will and sincerety. Does any politian worth his name ready for it.
