Since when striking is illegal!
by Monojit on May 30, 2006 07:00 PM

SC is absolutely right in saying that it is not concerned at this stage about the government policy and is concerned about the plight of the people. But does it not see that the government policy itself is causing the plight of the people. This is the cause of the agitation. In the long run, if such racist policies get implemented, the country will face another threat to its integrity by losing the harmony amongst its people. Think about getting treated by nincompoops who will become Doctors even after scoring poorly. This is going to cause a plight even greater. After an accident 3 months back, my relative could not lift his arm. A high ranking Doctor of you-know-what category of Govt. hospital told him to have immediate surgical operation. Second opinion from a private practitioner of the same you-know-what category was no different. My terrified relative visited a third private practitioner who gave him ointment for 2 months. Now he is OK.
And since when is striking illegal? Even after SC orders regarding it, many political parties have called strike and got away with it. Let there be actions against all those political parties before the doctors are crucified.
