Lashkar E Tayebba and our policy
by anilnair on May 15, 2006 11:43 AM

We need more education of the weak and downtrodden and no amount of reservations is going to help them. The disgruntled are going to remain so since the whole lot cannot be given jobs thru' reservation. Our politicians are upto some cheap gimmicks or the other every election time. While one gives away rice at Rs 2.00 the other proposes reservations. The law should be that each and every child should be made to study compulsorily upto 10th std. Here whether one studies or not the carrot is shown of reservations which then becomes a birthright. The birthright is of free meals and compulsory education in order to stop a major portion od the ills in our society. Then the number of people going out of the mainstream society will be lesser.
