Whom do you compare yourself to?
by Amit on May 10, 2006 11:50 AM

I would like to know whom does Mr. Husain compare himslef to?

Does he compare himself to those selfless artists who carved at Ajanta and Ellora, I dont think they did it for money or fame and one would have to travel back in time to find out why they did so? The fact that the images are in caves may mean they did not intend then, for everyone to see it.

Then the human mind too was pure and uncovered, is he trying to make our minds pure, in todays date when most of our minds are filled with filth and dirty images, what was the need to paint a nude India.

I think this man paints and does controversial things only to be in the limelite, he is a fame monger, We Indians treat our nation as our mother, would some one like his or her mothers naked potrait? that is the question Mr. Husain should have asked himself before plunging blindly into such a bas####ly act. If he is not doing it for fame then he sure is a tinkle head.
If he thinks he is helping create a great Indian 'Composite' culture, tell him to keep such things in his house and not showcase it to the world, the world belongs to everyone and some mad man cannot try to change it for what he sees as innocence and maturity
