Office of profit ordinance soon
by Senthil Arumugham on Mar 23, 2006 04:41 AM

Oh what a shame? It is mockery of democracy. Are we running a barbaric Govt. Whatver law prevailed on the date of crime should be applied. The law should not be amended after the crime is committed to save the offender. It is a very bad precedent and it will affect greatly the Nation. Future functioning will become very tough if such ordinance are promulgated. The country has been witnessing such chaos ever since India started to be guided by Italian. What is her background and what interest and patriotism she can have. It is under this regime, the President had to face embarrassing situation time and again.Max. chaos Jharkand affair, Iraq Oil deal, Bihar Assy.dissolution, defreezing Quattrochi's Bank account. We have seen the present President finding difficulty in tackling these issues. If only we have statesmen like K.R. Narayanan and R. Venkataraman these things would not only be solved strictly as per constn. But there are even chances that these would not have happened.Because Govt. cannot afford to take them for granted just as they do for President Abdul Kalam. Let us see how President and EC handle this. TN Governor also holding Cable TV ordinance without signing!!Senthil,USA.
