Indians discriminate against foriegners in general
by Ashwin on Jul 28, 2006 11:51 PM

After living with my foriegner wife for the last one year in India, I have seen discrimination against foriegners in all walks of life.

1. I had to pay Rs 750 for her entry in Taj.
2. Whenever she goes out in an auto, the drivers always ask for more money than what it shows on the meter.
3. Whenever she goes shopping alone, the shopkeepers tell her much higher prices.
4. She goes out wearing normal outfits (indian definition of "Normal"). But she has to avoid the people staring at her all the time.
5. The guys think that since she is not an Indian, she must be promiscuous. They try to approach her all the times.

This is sick. It is absolutely frustrating for both of us.
