France is NOT better than India in many ways
by mamta on Jul 08, 2006 08:41 PM

I had been to paris not more than 15 days back.

You talk about racial discrimination - In france Indians are treated like third rate citizens- blacks are treated better if they can speak french..

French are the most rude and tourist un-friendly - probably they forget that its one of their main source of incomes - french wine is losing out to californian, australian and chile wines. They have good wines only for export- you cant get a taste of sweet wine easily in Paris.

The international airport is so disorganised, it makes srilankan airport look far more better in comparision.

The metros are dirty and not properly indicated. You would be lucky if you can find any washrooms (they dont know what it means - they understand only if you ask for 'toilletes') inside a metro station or in many departmental stores...

The Food in france - lets not even talk about it...the only places whish do good are the American McDonald and the places which serve italian food...

I came across a book "The Best French menus"...The thought that came to my mind was "Are there any?"

Whatever the minuses in India, I felt so happy to be back here to be amidst kind, hospitable people.
