Well as someone white skinned yes the dual tarrif is sometimes really annoying. I checked into the Taj in Delhi while my Indian national friend parked his car. I gave his name as the name for the room, but they still demanded 13,000 rupees until he came from the car park, and even then they tried to say because I was English we had to pay English rates. After an argument we paid 7000 rupees, still hardly an econonmy, and they refused to switch the air conditioning off even though it was August, but I and my friend were both having to wear jumpers in our room. And the windows are locked so you can't open them This kind of behaviour makes me REALLY cross.
