Looks like you havent read the article carefully and continuing with the same old unrelated points that pro-reservationists have been talking all along.
Firstly, the author clearly points out that though he was an OBC, he NEVER took benefit of any reservations. Hence, calling him selfish is totally wrong.
What exact "privileges" do the "Forward" communities enjoy at selections, Sir? They are completely based on marks at the entrance exams. Now one may argue that marks arent the best judge, but thats a separate issue and has to be treated, if at all, uniformly for everyone.
And what has "staying back" in the motherland got to do with caste? If opportunity is given to an OBC, he too will flock outside. Are you trying to say that only OBCs are "patriotic" and forward castes are not?
The question of "Rural service" is a noble one. But dont link this issue with caste based politics. The two issues are totally different. Dont mix them up for the sake of making some argument in favour of reservation. There just isnt any!!!
