OBC cruches
by r.p.singh on Jun 09, 2006 04:21 PM

The message by Prof. M.S.Gopinathan convey's a lot of what I had in my mind.

But when I recall an incident conveyed to me some 20 years back by my uncle, my views change. He had come across a boy from weaker/ backward section of the society who was working as a labourer carrying coal on his head for a Power House in Calcutta.

Only when the boy came to him,to get a working experience certificate did he realise that the boy was a 1st class position holder in his intermediate Exam. He had recently, competed and got a job with the railways.

Tell me, which Private sector would give jobs to such citizen. How many of us will truly go out of our way to pay an extra rupee to the rickshawalla.

We do not have Leaders who think and work from their heart. Had it been so then probably there would be no reservation, today.

Our country should be an'equal opportunity'nation. Nobody should live on the mercy of others. It is so shamefully to think that we are still debating on this issue. Our Finance is more worried when the stock market falls rather than looking for means to povide good education, health and better life for our citizen.

with best wishes to the thinkers.
