Is it too late to reject the nuclear deal? Americans and Britishers are very clever negotiators, and in writing good legally binding contracts - see the NPT for instance. I guess, the most important aspect in any negotiation is we shouldn't show desperateness to achieve the deal. The deal is getting prepared as there is a value equation at both sides. I guess, now is the time to send signals to america that we are not very keen on the currently drafted nuclear deal, and we may not be able to sign it, citing the great parliament and Indian public opinion against this. A good idea is publish that "84% Indians is against signing the Nuclear deal with USA in the latest Doordarshan-MARG poll or something like that". Like they do it in CNN or ABC poll. Start saying NO to increase the value to our side and also prepare grounds before so that we can walk out of this deal, saying this doesn't meet our original agreement and the spirit of cooperation.
