Quota Bill may be tabled in Parl
by sunil on Jul 26, 2006 01:50 AM

hello,
how can you say'without harming the general category students'?
let me give a real case-study:-when i was a graduate-student, i had a girl who was not so good at studies let alone extra-curricular activities, just before my roll-call.her name also began with 's'.before her were reserved-category students, usually their names began with 'r'.the examiners while checking the papers searched for certain points, like 10 points.those who wrote all the 10 were given good marks, those with 6 or 7,just managed to pass.this girl could get good marks because she could write 5 to 6 valid points.why? because the examiners did not find even valid 2 to 3 points in the previous examinees' written papers (and also vivas) and were tired and even 5 valid points were a treat to them,so this girl could get good marks, but unfortunately she coudn't get through to post-graduation entrance on her first 2 tries.on the other hand among the general category students, boys and girls who got even less marks in their entire career could get through the pg-entrance, thanx to the computerised marking system.
this is how the quality gets compromised.and this is my experience in professional course.
