Politicised media is colouring minority thinking
by Gururaj on Jul 18, 2006 11:24 PM

I agree with the views expressed in the article. Today, news reporters on 24 x7 TV channels are considering themselves the policy makers, twist and turn the opininon of the invited panel, cut short those statements which run contrary to their avowed views.

Moreover, what we post on the websites do not get published if they are unpalatable. Its all broomed aside under the act titled moderation. Even, rediff seems to be guilty of similar insult to its readers who have a right to voice their views.

I have stated on many sites that the time has come to tell all those whose hearts beat not for India, to consider relocation to those places on their own. They may be given necessary transportation facility to shift. There is no point in living in a country, if you do not love it. We do not approve of killing of our brethern by such elements. Even assuming these are the work of external elements, we want to know who were those who supported them by providing shelter, logistics. Why there was no action by the community elders to stop such acts. Now, many of them are speaking against police and trying to create hurdles in investigation process. Whom are they supporting by such acts?
