US ambivalent policies on Terrorism
by Narayan Pai on Jul 15, 2006 12:36 PM

It has been rather succintly put across, but the US state dept.is yet to remove it's blinkers to the new realities on the ground. If Pakistan is an ally on it's war on terrorism, then N.Korea cannot be but it's bosom pal,for it has been supplying Chinese designed missiles to countries who are doing everything except bringing peace. This has surely not escaped their notice but then the blinkers are firmly in place. If the proxy war in Kashmir is not terrorism, then the US must publicly define it.Reams have been written & will be written on the US policies which are nothing short of being of so called 'national interests'then why all this hoo haa about fighting global terror; which did not exist until 9/11 ? Surely a super power can ill afford this.
