CCTVs in 7 Mumbai stations
by Bipin Rokade on Jul 14, 2006 12:08 AM

This is very crucial decision but only 7 CCTVs are not sufficient to cover the whole Mumbai. The CCTVs should be installed at every station and every compartment of railway. Thus every compartment will be continuous under observation. The tickets should be have magnetic strips for which people can enter in station or exit from station only through automatic barriers but for that automatic barriers should be made. The all railway routes should have the compounds by which no one can enter in the station except through the entry of station. There should be the extra security force always looking of the unattended bags on the station as well as on the train. And there should be the parallel responsibility of each person to keep eye on the unattended bags on the train.
For this system large amount of investment is necessary but this will be unvaluable infront of peoples lives. This system is following in everywhere UKs railway stations and I feel its quite efficient. Really this is not a order....this is a urge from hurted heart.
