ruthlessness vs.softbelly, a paradigm for Indians
by suryanarayana on Jul 14, 2006 10:21 AM

Dear Shishir,

I share, see and understand the helplessness of a common man, you have perfectly brought it into words.

Now, let us reminiscence both the issues you have raised:

1.Ruthlessness:
Does our polity has it? Except for clinging to their seats or planning their next coups or elections, there people have nothing towards the common man who is voting them to power.
why do this common man vote for them, again and again, because he is illetrate both socially and technically.
when you have one the best secret service organisation in the world being utilised for gathering intellegence about your rivals in the assembly, what will they do? when you have intelligence leaks in the navy, what will they do? when the police system is being utilised for party-specific funds, what will they do? when half of your police force is used for these shenaninagans' travels, what will be policed?
2. Softbelly: When the common man stops reacting for overtures like caaling UN for plebiscite when you are across a rogue army's city bridge, just to lay waste the soldiers who have laid down their lives till then to reach that bridge;
(to be continued)
