Women's entry into Sabarimala
by Ramanath Babu on Jul 06, 2006 10:11 AM

Firstly and foremostly, it is not a question of gender bias. If that be, the males too can rake up such contraversy. There is a temple in Kerala where males are prohibited on certain occasions. In Attukal temple of Bhagavathy, during Ponkala, males are strictly prohibited. Neither the males nor females devotees do not feel anything wrong in that. It is a custom. Here, women do not feel priviledged nor the men feel neglected. That is the spirit of faith.
