I seriously doubt Jayamala's belief in Lord Ayyappa. If she was one of those devout worshipper of God she would have respected the norms set by the Lord himself. belief in God without respect for the God is of no use. I think women like Jayamala should understand that Lord Ayyappa is a celibate and there are certain norms to worship him. Another example is lord Hanuman. Would Jayamala do the same had it been Lord Hanuman's temple? I'm sure she won't because everybody knows that Lord Hanuman is all male God. Even Shanishwara temple in Maharashtra doesn't allow women to enter the main area where the black stone of Shanishwara is worshipped. Would she still go there and claim to have seen and touched the Lord Shanishwara? Her claims of not knowing that women of certain age are not allowed is a huge bluff. Someone who claims to have belief in god so much should have known this simple fact.
