Drainage system
by Viswanathan on Jul 04, 2006 08:40 PM

Hi,

I'm an Indian who is currently working in UK and experienced the brute force of 26/7.

There is no accountability at all on part of the politicians (read "foolish babus"). These louts must be made to swim in the dirty murky water to experience the problems people face.

The entire disaster management programme and the promises to make Mithi river banks a living paradise was like showing a ten rupee note to a blind beggar.

But I also emphasize the Indian attitude towards littering in public places. We feel its our right to throw dirt/garbage/spit on the roads in India and expect the BMC van to come around cleaning it and thats absolutely wrong. In UK, places are clean simply because of self-involvement. All public places are spic and span because of YOU. People dont defecate
on the roads, railway tracks...

We hold partial (30%) responsibility for the problems, although those fools are not deservant of their positions in politics.

Vilasrao Deshmukh-Have a pint of fresh Mithi river water on me.
Johnny Joseph-Tu toh bach gaya re, apne aap ko transfer kara liya.
